Laura Mercier Lip Transformer Trio in Ruby Spark

It's safe to say that this lip trio is my new obsession. I mean, do you SEE the picture below?! Forget all the fears you have about applying a red lip. This mini kit makes it easy, and makes it look flawless and luscious.

Part of my issue with applying red lipstick, is getting the lines even around the corners of the mouth. Enter - Ruby lip liner. This liner is great - it's not too waxy or hard, it's just the right texture. Spend the time to line your lips the right way, and your lipstick will look killer. Side note - I only lined the outside of my lips. To make your pout last longer, you could totally fill your entire lip in with the lip liner too.

Next, apply the Red Amour lipstick. The texture on this is great also - it's very creamy but packs a lot of color. Next, lacquer on a thick coat of the Ruby Spark lip gloss. I was a little scared of it at first - in the tube, it looks super sparkly but on your lips it doesn't look as intense. It's more of a high shine gloss vs. big sparkles.

And there you have it! Using the lip liner makes all the difference in my eyes. This trio makes me feel like a retro pinup girl - very high glamour and sexy.

Check out that pout! Such beautiful products.

My Vacation Style: What I Wore in Florida, Great Stirrup Cay and the Beautiful Bahamas

Today we returned from a kick ass trip - a cruise to Cape Canaveral, Florida, Great Stirrup Cay and Atlantis in the Bahamas! We all had such a blast - we were celebrating my husband's aunt and uncle's 50th wedding anniversary! 20 of us piled onto the Norwegian Gem and set sail for paradise. Below is what a I wore, and some palm tree shots that will make you drool. Enjoy dolls!

My husband and I in front of the Norwegian Gem!
Here i'm wearing a pink and gold Bombshell bikini from Victoria's Secret, and a black Polo Ralph Lauren coverup that my mom gave me years ago. I also have it in white!
It's hard to tell here, but i'm also wearing heart shaped sunglasses (I got them on ASOS.com) and my gold boho headband from Etsy.

Here is one of my favorite new bathing suits from Victoria's Secret! I've been buying this Tiffany Blue color a lot and been wearing it all summer. I'm really into the fringe detail on the top too! These cat eye sunglasses are also ASOS, and the straw fedora hat I've had forever.

Greg and I aboard the cruise ship! Same fedora and heart shaped sunglasses.
My sundress is from Express - so comfy and cute!

Loving each other in Florida!
Here is the other boho headband I got on Etsy - it's brown and gold braided.
I like it for the beach - it keeps the hair out of my face for the most part =)

Us before dinner!
I got this dress from Lily Boutique online. I love the oversized chiffon bow and the color!
If you haven't visited their website, you should. Lots of dresses for good prices.
The necklace is shiny orange flowers - don't remember where I got it.

I miss this gorgeous water already!
This coverup is one of my new favorites - it's lightweight, pretty, and it was $7 from H&M.
My mom would be proud of my bargain shopping!

My sister in law and I listening to live music on the cruise
Here I'm wearing a pair of white lacey shorts from H&M. I've been looking for a pair of white lace shorts for a while now, but they were all so expensive. Great find at H&M!
Underneath i'm wearing a Danceskin bodysuit - a staple of mine when I need to tuck things in without it looking bulky. My rainbow necklace is from a family trip to Jamaica.

My husband's beautiful cousins and I! Funny enough, the black dresses weren't planned
Here i'm wearing a sequined Zac by Zac Posen dress. My necklace is a layered gold necklace from Express that has tiny crosses on it.

My arm candy!
I could never leave for vacation without my Alex & Ani bangles!
The sweet braided orange bracelet I got from a beach vendor in Florida. I always try to pick up a small piece of local jewelry when I go somewhere - it reminds me of vacation when I wear it.

Aaaaaaaaaand now for some photos of paradise!

I Kinda Hate Myself But...I've Fallen for the Boho Headband Trend.

Well, the impossible has finally happened you guys. I fell deeply, unapologetically in love with boho headbands. They are completely not my style but I am totally hooked. My best friend bought me the two below from Ulta Beauty, and I have a few more on the way from Etsy. I just think they are such a fun, playful, summer accessory.

I'm not a huge fan of wearing the headband completely across the forehead - I like it to sit more on the hairline like below. Since I have been on somewhat of an accessory binge lately - belts, jewelry, sunglasses, etc. - it makes sense that I'm now binging on these headbands. What do you guys think? Check them out!

My husband and I on the beach in the Hamptons! The headband is such a cute beach accessory!
I like that the gold blends into my hair

Jet Skiing in the Hamptons!
Thank god it didn't fly off my head haha

Up close! It's braided and twisted

This is the other one my friend got me. I love it!
I haven't worn it out yet but it's pretty kick ass

My boho headband sister, Mel! =)

Thanks for reading dolls! You guys rock.

I Feel Like I'm Back in Middle School - New Gelish Mani!

Hi friends! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. My husband and I went to the Hamptons with a group of friends, it was a blast! Below is the mani I got for the weekend - I feel like i'm back in 6th grade when blue nails were all the rage. I wanted something a little different this time, so I got this Gelish polish in Ooba Ooba Blue. It's kinda fun right?! I might get tired of it after a while, but for now i'm enjoying it. What do you guys think? Thanks for reading!! xoxo
