Beautifully Body-Painted Model for MAC's Baking Beauties Collection

How cute is this?! To promote their new collection Baking Beauties, MAC hired models in full body paint to come hang out at their 5th avenue store! I was going to walk right by the store (in fear that I would buy everything) but saw the model and had to see what was going on! She was so sweet and gladly posed for my photo.

The collection has the whole kitten caboodle - glitter, pro longwear paint pots, mascara, lipstick, mineralize tinted lip balm (Cheery Cheery is SO pretty in person) and some other fun stuff too. I can't help but geek over this collection, considering makeup and baking are probably my two most favorite hobbies!

Hypnose Star Mascara - Product Review

Hypnose Star mascara was another product I received in my CEW gift bag. I was excited - a mascara that wasn't mass! I am a habitual mascara tester, I will try almost any brand, brush shape, etc.

Back in the day, I would wear the original Hypnose, so I assumed that this one would be an improvement on the original. I was wrong.

It flakes awfully. I gave it a few tries - 1 coat, 2 coats, curling my lashes before and/or after but nothing stopped the flaking. I would look in the mirror at work, and there would be little black dots all under my eyes that I would attempt to wipe off with a tissue - it just smeared. I was pretty disappointed with this one. I'm glad that I didn't pay for it though!

Hope everyone is having a great Friday!!

Are You a Vintage Vixen? Want Your Man to Look Roaring 20's Handsome? THIS is LOVE

Brooks Brothers is doing a line of Great Gatsby-inspired clothing, and I think they really nailed it. My fiancé sent me the link freaking out, and I did the same. I love old movies and clothing, and seeing this collection just made me so happy. You gotta REALLY love your man, because this stuff is NOT CHEAP! A blazer for $800, saddle shoes for $600 and cufflinks for $395. But hey, no one ever said looking sharp was cheap right?

Here are some of my favorites from the collection!

Ivory Linen Jacket

Tipped blazer

Suspenders - a MUST

White and Brown Spectator Wingtip

Gold Ombre Plaid Bow Tie - LOVE

Check out the full collection here, if you're weird like me it'll make you smile! And if you happen to fall into a few hundred bucks (or a few grand) pick up some of the items! http://www.brooksbrothers.com

Hayley Williams of Paramore for MAC!

I have always applauded MAC for choosing kick ass people to represent their brand. When I wandered onto the MAC website and saw Hayley Williams from Paramore, I freaked! I’ve always loved her style, and her signature color – orange! MAC is doing an online only collection with Hayley, consisting of a limited life lipstick, eye shadow, nail lacquer and mineralize skinfinish (click the MAC site below to check them out).

The image that they picked for the campaign is beautiful, so inspiring and so Hayley! What do you guys think – interested in this collection? I know it might be tough to wear the lipstick and eye shadow if you aren’t comfortable with the brightness.

Gelish in Shake It Til You Samba, MAC lipstick in Impassioned, and Other PINK THINGS That Are Kinda 80's and Awesome

As a skull and cross bones, leather jacket wearing type chick, the color pink doesn’t come to mind when thinking about my wardrobe. Inexplicably, I’ve been wearing, buying, loving all things pink lately. Maybe it’s because I’m getting married and getting married is HAPPY? Maybe I’m hoping for warmer weather and to finally ditch my winter coat for good this season? Who knows!

Today I am especially pink – nails, lips, purse and shopping. Enjoy and happy Friday!

Gelish gel polish in Shake It Til You Samba
How awesome is this pink!? It's so bright and neon. The 80's would be proud!
I have been loving Gelish polishes - I usually get OPI but this is the 2nd time in a row I got Gelish instead.
Comes off a lot easier than OPI and they have some fierce colors!

Shameless Selfie
MAC lipstick in Impassioned
This is one of my all time favorite MAC shades - kind of a redish pink
It really pops against blonde hair, looks great with a tan too!

Pink ear buds! I guess I compromised with myself here - there is a little skull on them!

Where would any woman be without a great bra?
Little VS shopping trip to stock up on some basics!

Kate Spade purse!
I bought this last year, and I still love it! It doesn't fit much, but hey, it looks cute!
I wear it to work when I know i'm going for dinner or drinks afterward =)

Hope you guys enjoyed my girly pink post! Have a great weekend!!

My Beautiful Hair Extensions - Before and After!

Look at the difference!

Before we cut them - WOW!

I have long raved about the wonderful talents of my friend Nicole, AKA The Hair Doctor! If you didn't catch the interview I did with her, click here to read. All your burning hair questions answered!

As my wedding is rapidly approaching, I wanted to get my hair extensions back in. I definitely want them on my wedding day, they look so beautiful in photos and you have a lot more hair to work with and style! Nicole and I have been brainstorming about wedding day hair styles - the next step was getting my beautiful, long blonde extensions back and start doing hair trials!

As you can see, my hair is completely dead at the bottom from being so blonde (the price you pay for being blonde, sigh). The extensions really added fullness and of course, length! They take some getting used to in the beginning - you need to be very careful brushing your hair, use a special brush, and leave EXTRA time to blow dry your hair. I have been trying to not wash my hair every day like I usually do, but it's tough! Also, since Greg and I have been doing Couch to 5K, I need to wash my hair after I work out.

All in all, I am so happy that me and my extensions are reunited. I feel like my hair looks like it should look! Any questions for Nicole about extensions? Ask them below, she is the master! xoxo

World Autism Awareness Day - How to Get Involved!

Today is World Autism Awareness Day! For those of you who live close to NYC, the Empire State Building will be BLUE in support of Autism tonight - check it out!

On days like today, some people wonder what they can do to help. There are plenty of ways!

1. You can give a donation here to Autism Speaks (click here to go to their page)
2. Take the "Pledge to Light it Up Blue." Replace one light bulb in your house with a blue one for the day! Fun, festive, and you're doing your part! (click here to learn more and see photos!)
3. Seal a letter with an Autism Awareness sticker
4. Post about it on Facebook or Twitter to raise awareness (click here to join the Facebook group for World Autism Awareness Day)
5. Sign a petition for Autism Awareness (click here to sign)
6. Wear an Autism Awareness pin, hang a balloon (like ours above!) or a sign to promote awareness.
7. Participate in an Autism Walk! This is us at last year's walk - it's a fun thing to do together!

Now go out and spread some awareness! Thanks to all for reading! xo
