Stila Countless Color Pigment in Tye Dye

I saw this Stila eyeshadow and was immediately attracted to the Tye Dye one. I loved the colors! This isn’t the first ever baked/swirled eyeshadow to ever make its way into my hot little hands, but I wanted to give it a go anyway.

I was expecting it to make an awesome color, and ended up getting this powdery purple color. It’s not awful, but it’s not really my color. Each time I went to the bathroom at work today, I looked in the mirror and scrunched my nose at my eye makeup. I kinda felt like an 80's weirdo. I achieved this color by blending all 3 colors together, but you can obviously use each color individually. I’m not going to give up on this little eyeshadow just yet – I think it would be pretty cool to just use the pink as eyeliner on the top lid for summer!

As for the formula, it’s OK, not great. After blending all 3 colors today, I tapped the excess shadow off my brush (which was A LOT) and still had some fall out under my eyes after applying. I used a makeup wipe to clean it up, but still had some product over the crease of my eye throughout the day. If I was smart, I would have gotten the shade Groupie which has more neutral colors - cream beige/ copper/ dark bronze. I’m sure it would be fun to create a smokey eye with it!

Anyway, I guess what I’m saying is I don’t love the color I picked at all but that’s obv my problem. If I play with it and make something cool, I will share with you guys! Did anyone else buy one of these?
