Glamour's September Issue Cover is POSHHHH

Such a cute cover! I like that it focuses more on Victoria's makeup and hair, since, well she's not wearing any clothes. A tad overboard with the tiara but hey, BUBBLES!!!

Tag - Seven Deadly Sins of Makeup

I'm sure this post has made its rounds for ages, but hey, you guys love reading my mindless babbling posts, right? =) Feel free to post this tag on your blog, share the fun!

1. GREED
What is your most expensive beauty product?

Hmm it's gotta be La Mer's Moisturizing Cream ($140 for 1oz!) The dumbest thing about this purchase? The cream makes my skin break out, so I don't even use it anymore. Jokes on me I guess haha.

2. WRATH

What beauty products do you have a love and hate relationship with?

These press-on nails, for sure! I recently reviewed them (click to read review). Love the way they look on and they hold up famously, but to remove them is a bitch and destroys your real nails!

And what product has been the hardest to find?

I usually don't have much trouble finding products. I'll troll the internet forever if i'm trying to find something I need haha

3. GLUTTONY
What are your most delicious beauty products?

Currently, i've been loving Maybelline Super Stay 14 Hour lipstick in Eternal Rose (click here for review). This lipstick stays put and smells amazing!!

4.SLOTH
What beauty product do you neglect due to laziness?

Unfortunately, I neglect most of my eye shadow palettes. I buy a palette because I like a lot of the shades, but the palette is so big and takes up a lot of room, so I tend to store them under the sink and rarely use them.

5. PRIDE
What product gives you most confidence?

I'd have to say foundation & concealer to cover up imperfections, and MASCARA to widen the eyes a bit.

6. LUST
What product makes you feel more attractive?

A bright pout!

7. ENVY
What beauty item would you most like to receive as a gift?

A YSL lipstick! I've always wanted to try them out (heard great reviews), but never was willing to shell out $34 for one!

Lime Crime Lipstick in Centrifuschia

Just realized - this is my 500th post on Makeup Majesty! Love you guys, thanks so much for always reading and leaving me comment love! Now, onto the lipstick...

I cannot say enough good things about this lipstick! This mini haul (more reviews to come later) was my first Lime Crime experience, and it's been very positive! Here we go...

The shade is absolutely gorgeous. It's not very different from the dark pinks I usually sport, but I feel like the color pops a bit more. The texture is one of my favorite things about it - it applies so smooth and silky. After applying, it almost feels like you aren't wearing any lipstick at all - the formula is extremely lightweight (perfect for summer!) The wear on it is fantastic - I applied it at 7am before work, drank coffee and did my usual routine and it stayed looking beautiful and intact. I reapplied after lunch, and it stayed put until way after I got home from work. I was quite impressed, being that the formula is not heavy or clunky. I also wore it to a wedding this weekend (photo above!) and it held up pretty well, considering all the drinking that was going on =) Even when it did fade, it faded evenly and didn't flake.

I am such a loser for cute packaging - but come on, LOOK at the unicorn guys. Everyone I look at it, I smile like a psycho. I am very interested in getting more shades! Even though it's torture for me to stand by and wait for my package to come in the mail, but hey, totally worth the wait. Hope you guys had a great weekend!

OCC Lip Tar in Femme

My OCC (Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics) Lip Tar has finally arrived. I've read so many things about this product, and had to try it for myself. It shipped to me so quickly, thankfully, because I could wait to get my hands on it! Long story short - I love the color but kinda hate the consistency. Femme is a very muted pink color, almost a blue pink. The tar is drying to your lips, which causes it to crease and feather.

Think of lip tar as a paint. I applied it with a very skinny lip brush, and only used a tiny dot of product. Believe me, that's all you need. It also dries quickly, so try to apply and blend quickly. It was a bit more matte than I expected, so I put a touch of Vaseline over it for a little shine. It looks pretty and fresh for about an hour, until I started getting those horrible crease lines. I wiped it off with some water, and tried to reapply. The same thing happened again! The lasting factor on this product was crap for me.

I looked on OCC's website, and one of the FAQs is "Lip Tar appears to feather or bleed on my lips. What am I doing wrong?" The site basically says that you are applying too much product to your lips, and only need a small amount. I did just that but still got the unsightly feathering. UGH! I'm sad, because I had high hopes for this and it looks so good on other people! Any tips on how to make this product work better?

Hope you guys have a great weekend =)

Would You Expect Anything Different?

Pretty cool ad for the fragrance, even though I've been over here as of late. Still want to get my hands on the juice and smell it!

On another note, my lip tar shipment is on it's way! Can't wait to try it out! Hope everyone is having a good day and staying out of this crazy heat!! =)

Engagement Party Photos Woot Woot!

My fiance and me before the party! Love our outfits

Me with my parents and brother!

Me and grandma! Love her to pieces.

Me and both of my Maids of Honor!

Our engagement party was an absolute BLAST to say the least. We kept it to just close family so my fiance's family and my family could meet each other. Everyone got along great! Booze, food and fun galore.

My friend Nicole did a killer job on my hair! Loose curls which she didn't even hairspray - they stayed perfect until the next day - I even SLEPT on them! I usually wear my hair straight, so I wanted to look a little different for the party =) A touch up and some highlights didn't hurt either i'm sure!

I had a false eyelash debacle that you wouldn't even believe, it was honestly awful! I'm usually a pro at applying them, but for some reason these lashes did not want to stay attached to my lid. My eyes were turning into a gluey mess and the lashes were all bent and messed up. Finally, I got so frustrated that I just didn't wear them - and i'm kind of glad I didn't! I wore my Maybelline Super Stay 14 Hour lipstick in Eternal Rose (see review here) and I think that did the trick to perk up my look! The lipstick shade went nicely with my dress, and I barely had to reapply throughout the night. Other than the usual foundation, concealer, etc I loaded my face up with Benefit's Moon Beam to get that dewy/luminous look. It looks great in photos!

Just wanted to share a few photos with you guys. Hope everyone is having a kick ass summer so far! <3

imPRESS Press-On Nails - The Verdict

These press-on nails have been sitting on my dresser for God knows how long, and I finally gave them a go this week. Long story short, I am so torn on how to review these. Let me explain...

The application couldn't have been easier - just match up the press-on nail to your nail, peel the strip off, give it a good press and you're done! I really loved how they looked - I got many compliments on them. They stayed on for 6 days before I went to the nail salon and got my nails done. So i'm assuming they would have stayed on longer had I not removed them, being that they showed no sign of lifting, moving, cracking etc. I'm very hard on my nails and type all day long at work on my keyboard, and they really held up great! Now the bad part...

They are a complete bitch to remove. Like, really bad. If I hadn't gotten them removed by my manicurist, I doubt I would have been able to take them off myself. I'm not sure if this is how they normally are, or it was the extreme heat that we've been having, but the press-ons seem to almost MELT onto my real nail. My manicurist had to practically peel them off piece by piece, and it left my real nails a huge mess.

So long story short - I absolutely loved them and were so impressed with how they held up, but i'm not sure the aftermath was worth it. If you have longer natural nails and apply these press-ons - be prepared to cut your natural nails off because they won't survive. So again, i'm not sure if removing these is usually this difficult or it was just the experience I had, but believe me it was bad.

Sorry for the semi-depressing review guys! Hope everyone is having a great weekend! My fiance and I are having our engagement party tonight, I am so excited!
