I Can't Believe I'm Saying This But...

I've put myself on a makeup ban. Let that sink in for a second. Me. On a makeup ban. OK breathe, don't freak out.

I always thought it was CRAZY when people did makeup bans, and forced themselves to use the makeup they already had until some of it was gone. I'm like.......whyyyyyyyyy??? But now I get it. Because I have makeup from weeks, even months ago that is still in its plastic, untouched. I went to clean out my makeup drawers again, and realized how much I had actually bought lately and how much of it I didn't actively use.

Before you write me off forever, fear not. I have SO many products that I already have and still haven't written reviews on. So believe me, this blog won't be forgotten or abandon! If anything, this makeup ban will force me to blog about products I already have but haven't used yet. I'm not sure how long this ban (or torture) will last but I want to at least TRY to do it haha. It doesn't really have anything to do with saving money, it just has to do with over-buying (if there is such a thing) and making use of things.

So, that's my story for now. Can't wait to share some new reviews super soon!! Xoxo

  1. HAHA love that picture of you!

I think a makeup ban is a good idea, you want to enjoy makeup.. not just hoard it!

  3. The pic is pretty hilarious ;p

I had to "unofficially" put myself on one of these not too long ago. I also had a ton of untouched makeup and was rapidly running out of room. I didn't announce it because I knew I would fall off the wagon (and I did, but not too badly). Good for you! After the unofficial end to my unofficial ban, I found that I wasn't crazy lusting after every new thing anymore. Now I'm just on a ridiculous clothes/shoes/jewelry kick. If it's not one thing it's another ;D

  6. @WitchHazel – crap, I totally shouldn’t have “announced” my makeup ban, because I’ll probably fall off the wagon in 2 weeks ha! And we are the same – instead I’ve just been buying jewelry, clothes, shoes, etc. Oh well, girls just need presents sometimes! =)

@Jessica – I know, it’s painful believe me. I can’t even set foot into a Sephora, the temptation is too much!

And for all those reading this, “Anonymus” is my fiancĂ© haha! I miss you love!
