Itty, Bitty Baby Sized Things

There is something about miniature versions of beauty products that send me over the edge. Seriously - how CUTE are these little guys?

I love around Christmas time when companies come out with gift sets like these - of course they are great for actual gift giving, but they can also be great for you. Yes, a present for YOU. You can sample a variety of different products for a reasonable price. If you really like something, you can buy the full size. If not, not so much harm done because you didn't pay tons of money on it.

I'm not a huge "look in a box" person - sets that have a mascara, eye shadow, blush, primer, etc in a big palette. They take up a lot of room and I end up not using some of the items. I tend to go for the gift sets that have the same product, but in a variety of shades or flavors. For example, the Tarte LipSurgence set that I bought a bit ago (click here to read view and see swatches) I get a lot of use out of, and happen to like all of the shades in the set!

Sephora does a great job with their Christmas sets, here are a few I would consider!

What do you guys think? Do you buy gift sets like these?

  1. i'm not usually much of a set person, but i love that mascara set! that is one i could def get behind!

  2. I love the nail set and the Laura Mercier pencil set I would be happy to find these on Christmas day :) xo

  3. The mascara n OPI one!!!! *dies*

  4. nail polishhhh!!

  5. I love all these sets .. especially the sephora opi set " Sample Sale " is my favorite ! Good Post ! xo

  6. @zippy - right? I would have a blast with all of those little mascaras!

    @forever - same here!

    @jessica - I died too haha

    @caise - so do I. I can never have enough makeup!!

    @ablakehk - love your blog! thanks for the Viva Glam photo!

    @tracey - thanks love! the nail options are seemingly endless with that set huh?

  7. The nail polish & perfume sets are on my wish list! Tiny bottles of anything get me every single time. I bought a perfume set like this last year and it lasted forever.. I even used a few I wasn't crazy about in gift baskets.

  8. @witchhazel - me too! tiny versions of anything make me scream, too cute! they do last a long time, so it's a pretty good value if you think about it right? =)

  9. For sure, and they ensure that I actually use an entire bottle of something before I get bored of it and it winds up in the "graveyard" under my sink. Sorry for the 10,000 comments yesterday - was catching up on your posts xx
