Your eyes, that is. SMOKEY eye (I know, HA - HA right?)

I'm looking for eye shadows to create the perfect smokey eye look. I've used many different shadows previously to achieve this look, but I'm looking for the BEST. So I have to ask...

What are your weapons for the "perfect" smokey eye? I know you guys have some secrets, so share them with us!!

  1. Thanks for your comment, I'll follow you back (:

What I mostly use for a smokey eye is eyepencil. Just plain black eyepencil and then I fade it inwards, On my outer V is use some black shadow to darken it up, but that's pretty much it. Easy peasy (:

  2. I like to put a warm color like soft brown matte in the crease to warm it up. It creates a beautiful transition and gradient of color ! that way you cannot make any mistakes with trying to blend so much black in the crease. I also like to pop a highlight over the iris of the eye and in the tear ducts. :)

  3. For a smokey eye I love to blend the color out in the outer V...sometimes I make it a rich and deep black smokey eye similar to Sam Fine's signature look on Iman and other times I just smoke out whichever color I chose on the lid. I love that a smokey eye doesnt always have to be all black eyeshadow....A green smokey eye and a purple smokey eye are my favorite!!!

  4. you guys are all awesome, thanks so much for all the great tips!! I love learning how people do variations of the smokey eye. I'll have to post my smokey eye look soon! xoxo

  5. Hey :) I love doing a smokey eye it can make your eyes look so much bigger. I have a smokey eye on my blog with the list of products if you'd like to take a look? I'd put them here but I can't remember them all!! Its titled 'Dramatic Smokey eye' or something similar to that :)

  6. I love the smokey eye on your page! it looks smokey, but not messy at all, great job! I have a day time smokey eye on today that i'm going to post soon =)

  7. I like to gradiate from lighter to darker depending on the colors I am using. Then I highlight my brow bone and inner corners of my eyes.

  8. thanks for the advice coco!! I always use highlighter on my brow bone too =)

  9. Aw, this was an extremely good post. Taking a few minutes and
actual effort to generate a top notch article… but what can I say… I put things off a whole lot and never seem to get anything done.

security issues with my latest blog and I'd like to find something more safe. Do you have any solutions?
