Calling All Makeup Mavens

I need your help! I am in desperate need of a face sunscreen. It has to be oil-free and, of course, wears well under makeup.

In the summer, I tan very easily. I have light blonde hair, so when my face gets too tan I start bordering on the Donnatella Versace look (too-tanned face, bleach-blonde hair - not attractive by any means!) Not to mention that it’s awful for your skin to go sunscreen-free over the summer.

Anyone have any suggestions?

My boyfriend and I at the beach last summer

  1. Hiya :) I did a post a while back on sunscreen, here it is:

Oh and like I said on twitter La Roche Posay is meant to be really good :)

  2. I personally use Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Sunblock SPF 70. My cheeks burn sooo easily without it. I've tried others but they just don't protect my skin as well. Good Luck!

  3. I use Neutrogena's Ultra Sheer (don't really care for the smell) Derma doctor has one that I use to. I have to check when I get home

  4. I am darkskinned but its all the same issue, I use yves saint laurent tinted moisturizer and its not bad, if u dont wana tan too much wear giant hats lol

  5. So I saw you on "dulce candy's" Blog. I wanted to invite you to follow my blog. I developed the idea for "Featured Followers by Elle © " where I promote my followers. Check out my blog @

@kim - thanks doll!! the ultra sheer seems to be a favorite =)

@chimebere - cute advice! i love YSL, and have been looking for a tinted moisturizer as well. thank you!

  7. Hey! Thanks for following my blog, I just subscribed to yours also :)

Have you ever tried Shiseido's sunscreen? I use the one specifically for the face and it's the best sunscreen I've ever used. It doesn't leave an oily film and I wear it under my makeup everyday, all year round, because I'm especially prone to developing sunspots :(

  8. hi rinny thanks for the follow! no, i actually haven't tried the Shiseido sunscreen - thank you for suggesting! i will do another post when i purchase a few sunscreens to try out! =)
